Splatter Paintings

Through meticulous renderings, I highlight species depletion and the delicate tension between survival and entrapment. Moments of visual ironies and hypocrisy are embedded in my work— stillness and movement, humor and darkness, artificial and natural, beauty and death, flat and 3 dimensional, representational and abstract, and the grotesque and the wondrous. Within this morbid reality, I find hope-each carefully painted element a testament to the significance of time and attention. In turn, this devotion to detail compels viewers to slow down and observe, fostering a deeper awareness of the natural world.

Birds are rarely seen in such striking detail; we typically experience them as fleeting blurs darting across the sky. Only in moments of stillness can we fully appreciate their delicate intricacies. By positioning these beautiful creatures in compromised states, l provoke essential contemplation, questions, and critical conversations for the advocacy of their survival.
